The first CSI4*-W class of the day in Tetouan was held over a height of 1.45m. Forty-six combinations competed, with 13 pairs qualifying for the jump-off. In the end, only seven remained clear over the two rounds.
Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano rode the 11-year-old KWPN gelding Julius D (Arezzo VDL) to victory. The pair finished in a time of 47.10 seconds to take home the gold. Finn Boerekamp claimed second place for the Netherlands on Danny Boy 111 Z (Dominator 2000 Z). Boerekamp finished just half a second slower than Gaudiano.
Third and fourth place went to France thanks to Nathalie Mack and Alexis Goulet. Mack relied on Baccara de l'Aubepine (Lamm de Fetan) to secure the last podium place, while Goulet and Global de Riverland (Vagabond de la Pomme) raced to fourth place. Edouard Schmitz and Leonola (Connect) rounded off the top five.
