On her social media, Kristel Ceulemans announced the passing of the stallion Va-Vite (Heartbreaker x Clinton). “In 20 years, Va-Vite has left us with many wonderful memories,” she wrote. “Patrik was successful with Va-Vite up to the 1.55m level, and our young riders have learned a lot from him as well!”
The son of Heartbreaker was bred by B.F. Kregting and passed away at the age of 23. Together with Patrik Spits, the stallion won the CSI2* Grand Prix of Bonheiden twice.
In early 2014, Jeroen De Winter took over the reins. The pair achieved several podium finishes, with notable results in Valkenswaard and Mechelen.
In 2020, the stallion retired from sport. “Thank you to everyone who took such good care of Va-Vite! He lives on in our memories and in many of his sons and grandsons!” Ceulemans concluded.
