The winner of the 2007 FEI Jumping World Cup Final in Las Vegas, Ideo du Thot (Arioso du Theillet x Shaliman du Thot), has passed away at the age of 29.
The son of Arioso du Theillet, bred by Margrith and Jean-François Noël, retired from sport at the age of 14.
In 2003, the French-bred gelding joined the stable of Thomas Fuchs. Shortly afterward, Rolf Theiler took over the reins, followed later by Beat Mändli. It was with Mändli that Ideo achieved most of his success. The pair won the World Cup Final in Las Vegas and had also placed third in the 2006 World Cup Final in Kuala Lumpur.
In 2010, after an injury, Ideo returned to the sport with the then 18-year-old Martin Fuchs.
