After finishing in 60.02 seconds, Francois Xavier Boudant rode the Selle Français gelding Brazyl du Mezel (Haloubet De Gorze) to the eventual victory. In the second part of this five-star class, the Frenchman clocked a time two-hundredths of a second faster than Julien Epaillard and Easy Up de Grandry (Jarnac).

“To be victorious here in Paris, in France, is fantastic, especially given the fact that I’ve never been to the Grand Palais before. I believed that Julien’s (Épaillard) time could be beaten. There was little in it but we gave our all and that was enough. Despite being 15 years of age, Brazyl continues to perform well. He’s in great shape. I hope that we can also step up to the mark for Sunday’s Grand Prix Hermès.” the winner said after his victory....

Alongside his trusted Vitiki (Valentino), Yuri Mansur completed the top three. As one of the first to start, Daniel Deusser ultimately had to settle for fourth place. Deusser finished just outside the top three in the saddle of Bingo de Ste Hermelle (Number One d'Iso). Henrik von Eckermann rounded out the top five after taking the necessary risks with the 13-year-old mare Calizi (Cellestial).
