The final day of Jumping Indoor Maastricht 2025 offered a spectacular conclusion to four days of high-level sport at the MECC. With top riders from around the world returning for the decisive classes, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation. The highlight came in the CSI4* Grand Prix over 1.55m, where Belgium’s Gilles Thomas and Qalista DN delivered a flawless performance to claim victory, closing the event in style and confirming their excellent form this season.
Gilles Thomas and Qalista DN (Emerald) produced two clear rounds and a winning time of 35.49 seconds, securing the Grand Prix title. Robert Murphy with Hulde G (Vigo d'Arsouilles) and Christian Ahlmann aboard Dourkhan Hero Z (Don'T Touch Tiji Hero) both stopped the clock at 36.51 seconds, sharing the runner-up position after equally polished performances.
Behind them, Jenny Krogsaeter with Laurier (VDL Zirocco Blue) impressed with a confident clear round to finish fourth in 37.69 seconds, while Denis Lynch and Chicago (Cascadello I) closed the top five after a controlled ride in 42.44 seconds.
Earlier in the day, the MECC Prix, a CSI4* Medium Tour class over 1.45m, showcased another Belgian highlight as Thibeau Spits rode King van Essene (Calido I) to victory in a lightning-fast double-clear of 25.81 seconds. Just behind, Katrin Eckermann and Iron Dames Sascinora NRW (Stakkato-Boy RM) finished in 27.04 seconds, showing the same consistency that has marked their indoor season.
Hessel Hoekstra, riding Madonna (Apardi), took third place with another double clear in 27.24 seconds, narrowly missing out on a higher position by tenths of a second.
