Together, they took the win in the Grand Prix of Riesenbeck last year, finished third in the Leipzig World Cup in January, placed fourth in the Super Grand Prix of Prague in November 2025, and took bronze in the Lyon World Cup: Gerrit Nieberg and his Ping Pong van de Lentamel (by Emerald) formed a highly successful and promising duo. It was for good reason that they were named to the Olympic squad again at the end of 2025.

However, bad luck struck after the leg in Leipzig: the eleven-year-old Belgian gelding suffered an injury and had to take a forced break. Now, the talented piebald stallion is making the move to the stables of Irishman Denis Lynch. The showjumper announced the news himself on Instagram: "We have an exciting newcomer in the stable. Many of you will undoubtedly know him: it's Ping Pong. He is owned by Marina Quasha, and we are hugely looking forward to a promising future with this fantastic horse." To welcome him to his new home, Ping Pong was immediately spoiled by Lynch's team with carrots, melon, and apples.
