The Longines League of Nations in Saint-Tropez - Gassin was held over two rounds at a height of 1.60m. Ten countries sent a team to France, resulting in 40 pairs at the start. Only three combinations managed to complete both rounds without faults.
Great Britain finishes with gold
The Great Britain team finished on the top step of the podium with a total of 15 penalty points in a time of 213.91 seconds. Jack Whitaker and Jack JL (Quasimodo Z) put in an impressive clear round in the first round. Tim Gredley and Medoc de Toxandria (Der Senaat) completed the second round without faults.
Italy jumps to silver
The Italian team finished with 16 penalty points in 206.23 seconds. They saw two of the four combinations complete both rounds without faults. Both Riccardo Pisani on Chatolinue PS (Diablo Blanco) and Piergiorgio Bucci in the saddle of Hantano (Quasimodo Z) finished the class with zero penalty points.
Belgium claims bronze
The team sent by Belgium went home with bronze under the leadership of Peter Weinberg. The total for our tricolour was 17 penalty points in a time of 209.89 seconds. Annelies Vorsselmans saddled Trezeguet (Turmalin) for the League of Nations and jumped the two rounds clear.
