The gold ultimately went to the Netherlands thanks to Harrie Smolders. Riding Monaco (Cassini II), he was the only one to leave all the bars in place over the two rounds, and he also posted a lightning-fast time. "Peaking in front of a home crowd is truly amazing. The feeling was fantastic; Monaco was very sharp and jumped fantastically. The course was very technical and difficult, but Monaco knows how things work. My job is to make it as easy as possible for him, and I think that went very well. Monaco is the smartest and most intelligent horse I know. Maybe we'll return to Vienna or Rome, but Monaco will tell me when he's ready. I would love to be able to ride him forever."

Nicola Philippaerts was the only other rider to complete the first round without faults. Philippaerts relied on Katanga v/h Dingeshof (Cardento) during this Grand Prix. Unfortunately, the pair incurred two faults in the jump-off. "Harrie and Monaco are one of the best combinations in the world, so he really deserves it. I'm thrilled to be going to the Super GP in Prague, and Katanga jumped fantastically. This show is only half an hour from home, so it felt a bit like a home show. The atmosphere here is also truly fantastic."

The bronze went to Gilles Thomas and Qalista DN (Emerald van 't Ruytershof). Together they rode the fastest round of the four-pointers in the first round, which ultimately earned them third place.

Napoli van het Nederassenthof (President) finished just off the podium under Andreas Schou. Christian Kukuk was slightly slower than Schou with Cepano Baloubet (Chaman) and rounded off the top five.
