Harry Charles and the Paul Schockemöhle-bred gelding, Casquo Blue  recorded the winning time of 38.20 seconds. The duo finished nearly 0.3 seconds faster than compatriot Scott Brash and his European Championship mare, Hello Folie (Luidam, breeder: C. Gouin). Thailand's Janakabhorn Karunayadhaj followed in third place with the Irish-bred gelding, Maxwin Kinmar Bespoke (O-Piloth, breeder: Gerrard Marron).

Also jumping clear, Anastasia Nielsen secured fourth place. Nielsen finished just outside the top three with ESI Rocky (Stakkato Gold). The top five was rounded off by Ines Joly and the 11-year-old stallion, Crack d'Aiguilly Z (Comme Il Faut).

Quick Diamant HR scores in CSI2* Grand Prix

Earlier, Oliver Fletcher won the 1.45m CSI2* Grand Prix. No fewer than 14 combinations qualified for the jump-off. There, Oliver Fletcher and Cajus 42 (Comme Il Faut, breeder: Gustav Schulte) jumped just under the time of Millie Allen and Quick Diamant HR (Diamant de Semilly, breeder: Ruben Houben). The day before, this combination had already won the Grand Prix qualifier. Philipp Weishaupt followed in third with Callao L (Congress 4, breeder: Kai Ligges).

Emanuele Gaudiano and Vasco 118 repeat their success

Earlier, Emanuele Gaudiano repeated his success with Vasco 118 (Vivant, breeder: Paul Schockemöhle) in the 1.45m CSI4* Longines Ranking class. The duo finished more than a second ahead of Roberto Previtali and Chaquano PS (Chacco-Blue). Third place went to Millie Allen and the Jean Jonkmans-bred BWP mare, Quickly D vh Ijzerenlindehof (Quint vh Maarlo Z).
