British showjumper Harry Charles will not return to action for the remainder of this year. Following a fall at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva, Spain, the rider sustained a severe shoulder injury.
In a message on his social media, Charles shared that the damage to his left shoulder is significant: "After a fall last week in Oliva, I’ve managed to mess up my left shoulder pretty good. So that’ll be me done for the year, quite a complex injury so it’s going to take some time. Time for bit of time at home and getting fit for next year !"
The injury comes as a major blow for the British rider, who is now forced into a period of rest. He is currently focusing entirely on his recovery to return to the ring in the new year.
