Henrik von Eckermann and Iliana impress in 1.55m Prix Qatar's Years of Culture

Fifteen combinations qualified for the jump-off of the 1.55m main class in Rabat. In this Longines Ranking class, it remained exciting until the last combination started. In the end, Henrik von Eckermann beat Maikel van der Vleuten to win. The Swede jumped incredibly fast to victory with the 11-year-old KWPN mare, Iliana (Cardento).

Von Eckermann and the 11-year-old KWPN mare, Iliana, were just ahead of the Dutchman, Maikel van der Vleuten, and his 12-year-old AES mare, Elwikke (Eldorado vd Zeshoek). Van der Vleuten relegated Belgium's Celine Schoonbroodt-de Azevedo with Deesse des Embruns (Mylord Carthago*HN) to third place in this 1.55m main class.

Belgian champion duo, Gilles Thomas and Luna van het Dennehof (Prince van de Wolfsakker) followed just outside the top three. The Belgian pair was followed by Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann with High Level 6 (Livello). Also classified, Thibeau Spits jumped with the 14-year-old BWP stallion, King van Essene (Calido I) to ninth place.
