In Doha, a 1m40 CSI5* speed class brought fast times, with the home riders making full use of their familiarity with the arena. On a course where every fraction of a second mattered, the Qatari combinations delivered a commanding collective performance, claiming most of the top positions and giving the class a clear local flavour.
The win stayed in Qatar thanks to Rashid Towaim Ali Al Marri, who guided Navaronne (Deuville T&L) through a sharp clear round in 26.04s to set the benchmark. Close behind, fellow home rider Salman Mohammed A S Al Emadi kept the pressure on with Wathnan Toblerone (Contendro I), stopping the clock at 26.32s for second place.
Qatar’s strong showing continued with Mohammed Khalifa A Al Baker and Dukhan 3 (Toulon), who secured third position in 26.38s after another faultless performance.
Just outside the top three, Ghanim Nasser Al Qadi confirmed the depth of the home contingent by finishing fourth on top of Chedington Blue in 26.63s. The top five was completed by Duarte Seabra, who was the best of the international challengers with Cabernet Di Fer Z (Cicero Z Van Paemel), finishing clear in 26.90 seconds.
