On the first day of the Major League Show Jumping in Anglestone, Canada it was home-rider, Jacqueline Steffens Daly jumping to victory aboard her Dutch bred, Freaky (Darco). The combination was half a second faster as USA's, Alessandra Volpi aboard Belgian-bred, Candy Luck Z.

Daly and her 14-year-old Darco-stallion (breeder: M. Liefhebber) were half a second faster as USA's Alessandra Volpi aboard Candy Luck Z (Comme Il Faut, breeder: Dirk Geerinckx).

The 9-year-old mare was before competed by Belgium's Dominique Hendrickx (BEL) and Dutch Olympic rider, Willem Greve. The combination left Ireland's Dylan Daly in third. Daly completed the stage with his Belgian-bred Chacco-Blue-mare, Cinderella Z.

Amy Millar followed in a fourth place. Together with Christiano (Canoso) Millar advanced on Coco Fath and Happy Time (Quality Time TN).
