The Longines League of Nations™ Final got underway today in Barcelona. The opening programme immediately featured the Estrella Damm Trophy, a CSIO5* 1.50m class against the clock counting towards the FEI Longines Ranking, Group D. Jessica Mendoza claimed the victory in style.
Jessica Mendoza produced a faultless round aboard KWPN-mare In the Air (Air Jordan), stopping the clock in 74.24 seconds. That was enough to beat Brazil’s João Victor Castro Aguiar Gomes De Lima, who also jumped clear with Sagan Z (Hunter's Scendro) in 75.04 seconds. Laura Kraut completed the podium with Carquilara PS (Caligula) in 75.11 seconds.
Fourth place went to Italy’s Giampiero Garofalo. Riding Mayrock (Glen), he also delivered a clear round in 76.44 seconds. Pedro Junqueira Muylaert completed the top five with Captain Ciwano (Cordynox) in 76.68 seconds.
