The STAWAG-Prize, a jumping competition for Young Riders in Aachen, was won by American Jj Torano with Lyon 50 (Lord Argentinus). The pair produced a faultless round and recorded the fastest clear time of 63.96 seconds. Lyon 50 is a 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding, bred by F. Sander.
Second place went to Germany’s Max Paschertz with Foodfox' Cathilde H (Cascadello). They also jumped clear, finishing in 64.43 seconds. Luiz Felipe Neto de Azevedo secured third place for Brazil with Granit de la Mure (Mylord Carthago HN) in 65.80 seconds.
The top five was completed by France’s Elona Rousselle with Liberty D (Farmgraaf) in fourth place and Mexico’s Mariano Oñate De Cima with Mumbai (Diamant de Semilly) in fifth. Both combinations also finished without faults.
A clear round proved to be a strong advantage in this class, with several combinations keeping all the poles up. Australia’s Charlie Magnier and Notre Dame de Bourguignon narrowly missed out on the top five, finishing sixth.
