The impressive arena of Arezzo provided the backdrop for a thrilling conclusion to the CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix. In a world-class field, it was ultimately Great Britain's Joseph Stockdale who outpaced the competition to claim the prestigious victory.
Together with his 15-year-old mare Cacharel (by Cachas), Stockdale delivered a masterclass in both the initial round and the jump-off. The duo remained faultless in both rounds.
Second place went to Germany's Jens Wawrauschek. With the just 9-year-old mare Mava S (by Messenger), he proved himself a massive talent for the future. The home crowd also had reason to cheer thanks to Roberto Previtali; riding the grey stallion Quirinus 27 (by Quality Time TN), he jumped his way to a clinical third place.
Following a five-horse jump-off, Michael Viehweg finished in fourth place with Contario (by Contendro I). Joao Victor Castro Aguiar Gomes De Lima rounded out the top five in the saddle of Kenzo Quality Z (by Kannan).
