A new month brings a new update to the FEI Longines Rankings. The top two remain unchanged, with Kent Farrington (USA) holding on to the world number one spot, while Germany's Richard Vogel stays in second place.
In the updated rankings, Shane Sweetnam (IRL) climbs to a career-best third place. The Irish rider moves up from fifth, pushing Great Britain's Scott Brash and Ben Maher down to fourth and fifth respectively.
Israel's Daniel Bluman also makes progress, moving from ninth to sixth place. Belgium's Gilles Thomas drops one position to seventh but remains ahead of France's Nina Mallevaey and Julien Epaillard. As in last month's rankings, Germany's Olympic champion Christian Kukuk completes the top ten.
Strong Belgian Presence
Within the top 50, Nicola Philippaerts climbs one place to 13th, while Pieter Devos makes one of the biggest gains of the month, jumping nine spots to 19th.
Also featured in the world's top 50 are Abdel Said (26th), Thibeau Spits (40th) and Gregory Wathelet (42nd), underlining Belgium's continued strength on the international stage.
