At the Asia World Expo in Hong Kong, course designer Bernardo Costa Cabral set a challenging 1.50m Longines Stakes! In this speed class, Kevin Staut left no room for the competition. Partnered with the 10-year-old Kannan daughter, Kannonqulan (breeders: Lena and Julia Johansson), Staut jumped to victory in 54.34 seconds.
Kevin Staut and the 10-year-old mare, Kannonqulan, finished just under a second ahead of Richard Vogel (GER) and the 12-year-old stallion, Cloudio (Casall, breeder: H. Arendt). Johan Sebastian Gulliksen (NOR) completed the top three riding the 14-year-old KWPN gelding, Harwich VDL (Arezzo VDL, breeder: VDL Stud).
The entire top eight kept a clean sheet over the 1.50m course. Anthony Bourquard followed in fourth place aboard Fontainebleau Manciais (Ogrion de Champs). The duo was followed by Eiken Sato and the nine-year-old mare, Milva RB (Million Dollar).
A trio of Dutch combinations rounded out the top eight. Kevin Jochems and the 12-year-old Baloe HP (Balou du Rouet) finished ahead of compatriots Mel Thijssen with Arnold 46 (A Pikachu de Muze) and Sanne Thijssen with Cum Laude (Cooper vd Heffinck).
