The CSI4* class of the day at the Sweden International Horse Show was one that stayed thrilling until the very end. All the pairs had to conquer 14 obstacles build to a height of 1.45m by the team of Peter Lundström. The class was ridden against the clock.
The victory convincingly went to Kevin Staut aboard Kannonqulan (Kannan). With more than two seconds to spare, he took the gold home.
Henrik von Eckermann, Malin Baryard-Johnsson, and Petronella Andersson tried in vain to match Staut’s time but still secured a 2–3–4 finish for their home crowd. They did so respectively with Glamour Girl (VDL Zirocco Blue), Palina Keeps ZL (Plot Blue), and Opaline de W&S (Etoulon).
Olivier Philippaerts, riding H&M Qualithina van 't Ruytershof (Mosito van het Hellehof), was able to complete the top five.
