The final day of the Longines Global Champions Tour competition in New York is entirely devoted to the LGCT Grand Prix, but not before the CSI5* riders were presented with their 1.45m course. Thirty combinations ventured onto the course to tackle the 13 obstacles against the clock.
Koen Vereecke secured the gold medal together with Oilily de Muze (Vigo d'Arsouilles). The Belgian duo was more than a second faster than their competitors over the 1.45m high obstacles in 50.50 seconds. Second place went to Con Quality (Chin Champ) under the saddle of Germany's Sophie Hinners in 51.55 seconds. The bronze was snatched by Carly Anthony on Mullentine Shalom (Untouchable) in front of her home crowd with a time of 52.08 seconds.
Duarte Seabra finished just off the podium in fourth place in the saddle of Fernhill Leonardo (I'm Special de Muze). The duo crossed the finish line in 52.96 seconds. Luna van 't Ruytershof Z (Levisto Z) finished in fifth place under Yali Kass in 53.73 seconds.
