The WBFSH (World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses) has announced a new update to its WBFSH ranking. The Selle Français remains at the top of the Studbook ranking, while the Timm Peters-bred Holsteiner, Bull Run's Jireh (ridden by Kristen Vanderveen), leads for the third consecutive month.
Bull Run's Jireh (ex. Uno 56, Uriko x Colman) tops the new WBFSH ranking with 1,391 points, followed by Richard Vogel's Selle Français stallion, Gangster Montdesir (Kannan x Cornet Obolensky, breeder: Haras Montdesir). Daniel Deusser's BWP horse, Otello de Guldenboom (Tobago Z x Caretino, breeder: H. Versnick), takes the number three spot. Just outside the top three, the Selle Français horse Dynastie de Beaufour (breeder: E. Levallois) follows in fourth, and Crossover 4 (breeder: Harm Wiebusch) ranks fifth.
Selle Français in the Lead
In the Studbook ranking, the French Selle Français is still number one. With 6,705 points, it narrowly leads the German Holsteiner (5,974 points). The Belgian BWP studbook occupies third place with 5,801 points. Just outside the top three, Zangersheide is in fourth and KWPN is in fifth.
