The latest FEI Combination Ranking once again sees Kristen Vanderveen and Bull Run’s Jireh at the top of the standings. The American combination successfully retains the world number one position after continuing its strong form throughout the opening months of the outdoor season.
Behind the leaders, several major changes shake up the top five. Ireland’s Shane Sweetnam and Coriaan van Klapscheut Z (Comme Il Faut) move up to second place, while Ben Maher and Ginger-Blue (Plot Blue) produce one of the biggest jumps of the month by climbing from 21st to third position.
Italy’s Piergiorgio Bucci and Pallieter vd N.Ranch (Cornet Obolensky) also surge through the standings, moving from 53rd to fourth place in the ranking. Former world number ones Scott Brash and Hello Jefferson (Cooper van de Heffinck) drop from second to fifth position in the updated standings.
One of the most remarkable climbs comes from Daniel Deusser and Otello de Guldenboom (Tobago Z). The German combination rockets from 154th to sixth place following a series of strong performances at the highest level. Kent Farrington and Greya also impress by moving up from 133rd to 11th place in the ranking.
