Last will be first! Pieter Devos claims 1.55m Prize iWEST at Stuttgart German Masters!

The arena was crowded on Saturday evening for the Stuttgart German Masters, 1.55m Prize of iWEST. In this CSI5* class the win was handed out after a Jump-Off with nine horse-rider combinations. It seemed to be a hard task to produce a clear finish. As last rider at the start, Belgium's Pieter Devos and his 10-year-old KWPN-mare, Jarina J (Cicero Z van Paemel x Harley VDL) jumped to victory!

Devos and the 10-year-old daughter by Cicero Z van Paemel were the last to start and finished in an almost 2 seconds faster time as Dutch Harrie Smolders and the 9-year-old  Kaspar R (Eldorado vd Zeshoek, breeder: Rietberg).

Only three combinations managed to produce a faultless Jump-Off round. The stage was completed by Belgium's Wilm Vermeir and his own bred, 9-year-old, Top Invest 313 Z (Thunder vd Zuuthoeve).

Second but last at the start, Richard Vogel (GER) set the record time. Aboard Crack HV (Cornet Obolensky), Vogel eventually placed fourth jumping one rail down. In front of his homecrowd he referred compatriot, Tim Rieskamp-Goedeking to the fifth place with Zinano G (Zinedine).
