The CSI5* GCL Individual Competition delivered a thrilling battle against the clock in Riesenbeck, with Laura Kraut producing the fastest clear round of the day. The American rider led a competitive top five that also featured Bertram Allen, Jörne Sprehe, Nina Mallevaey and Zascha Nygaard.
Laura Kraut secured victory aboard Baloutinue (Balou du Rouet) after producing a faultless round in 71.29 seconds. The American combination proved untouchable, finishing more than a second ahead of the rest of the field.
Ireland's Bertram Allen guided Qonquest de Rigo (Fantomas de Muze) to second place with another clear effort in 72.55 seconds, while Germany's Jörne Sprehe completed the podium aboard Toys (Toulon), stopping the clock in 72.59 seconds.
Just outside the podium, France's Nina Mallevaey steered Dynastie de Beaufour (Diamant de Semilly) to fourth place with a clear round in 73.98 seconds. Denmark's Zascha Nygaard rounded out the top five in the saddle of Cornets Esmeray PS (Cornet Obolensky), crossing the finish line fault-free in 75.25 seconds. The five highest-placed combinations all completed the course without adding a single penalty to their score.
