O'Bailey van het Brouwershof N.O.P. (Darco x Contact vd Heffinck) has passed away. The stallion, licensed by the KWPN, BWP, and AES, among others, competed at the highest level under rider Maikel van der Vleuten.
2023 was a phenomenal year for O’Bailey’s sporting career; in April, he was crowned Dutch Champion and jumped clear rounds during the Nations Cups in Rome and Rotterdam. As the crowning achievement of 2023, O’Bailey was selected to represent Team NL at the European Championships in Milan.
The son of Darco was approved for the KWPN studbook in 2022. The stallion’s last international appearance was in July of last year, where he and Van der Vleuten secured seventh place in the LGCT Grand Prix of Monte Carlo. Earlier that summer, the pair placed eighth in the CSIO5* Grand Prix of Rotterdam.
The stallion was 12 years old.
