On Saturday, the 1.50/1.60m CSI5* World Cup Grand Prix was the highlight of the program in Oslo. After a jump-off with six competitors, Mario Stevens claimed the nearly 34,000 euro prize. Stevens won the Grand Prix riding his 10-year-old mare, Carrie 22 (Christian), bred by Anja Haase.
Stevens and the German-bred mare were only a few hundredths of a second ahead of French rider, Kevin Staut, who was in the saddle of the 11-year-old Dialou Blue PS (Diarado's Boy). Staut and Paul Schockemöhle's bred mare were narrowly followed by Emma Emanuelsson and Canbella Blue PS (Cantolar).
Riding in front of a home crowd, Victoria Gulliksen was the next clear round but slower. Gulliksen finished just outside the top three with her 15-year-old Perigueux son, Papa Roach. With the fastest time but one jumping fault along the way, Katharina Rhomberg completed the top five in the saddle of Cuma 5 (Comme Il Faut).
