Martin Fuchs claimed an impressive victory in the opening competition at the CSI5* event in Paris. After some years, back under its trusted glass dome of the Grand Palais. The Swiss rider showcased his exceptional skill and precision in the 1.45m class, utilizing not only his speed but also his strategic insight to perfection. With a flawless round, Fuchs managed to leave the competition behind, making his start to the weekend a resounding success!
Swiss rider Martin Fuchs left all the competition behind in the opening class of the Saut Hermès, winning the CSI5* 1.45m event with the Hanoverian gelding Commissar Pezi (Commissario x Lady Gaga).
“It’s a great start, beamed the Swiss rider. My horse will also perform in the main events but I was very keen to perform well in front of this crowd and in this incredible Grand Palais. I was very eager to win this first event and kick off this competition in style.”
Victor Bettendorf came in just a few hundredths of a second later, securing second place with the Consinhus daughter, Cancun Torel Z. The Frenchman Olivier Perreau was able to finish on the podium on home soil with GL Events Dolce Deceuninck (Toulon x Fleur Deceuninck).
Just outside the podium, the French riders completed the top five on home soil. Lalie Saclier finished fourth with Fenomene des Lilas (Toulon x Perle Fine Du Va), and Gregory Cottard placed fifth with Action Bellevue PS (Action-Breaker x Agranuet).
