The CSI5* show in Leipzig kicked off with an international 1.45m speed class, where accuracy and forward riding were rewarded from the first horse on course. With the clock deciding the order, the opening competition quickly produced a fast top five to set the tone for the week at Partner Pferd Leipzig.
Victory went to home rider Marvin Jüngel with Helene 50 (Uriko), delivering a clear round in 57.00 seconds to claim the top spot in the CSI5* opening class.
Denis Lynch followed in second aboard Zensation 2 (VDL Zirocco Blue), also faultless and only fractions behind on 57.50 seconds. The third place was secured by Paula de Boer-Schwarz with Vancouver 77 (Vagabond de la Pomme), jumping clear in 60.77 seconds to keep her place on the podium in front of the home crowd.
Just outside the top three, Patrick Stühlmeyer finished fourth with Conterno-Blue PS (Veyron), adding another clear performance to the leaderboard in 60.99 seconds. Fifth place went to Frederic Tillmann and Kurt Cobain D (Kannan), who completed their round without penalties and stopped the clock at 62.01 seconds, rounding out a strong home performance in the opening speed test.
