The unbeatable duo during the CSI4* 1.50m Grand Prix Qualifier in Valkenswaard was Max Wachman and GRS Lady Amaro (Amaretto). With a time of 65.74 seconds, they jumped their way to first place. 

Wachman smiled: “It’s been a fantastic first day at the Longines Tops International Arena. Lady Amaro was flying on the grass arena and of course, it’s always a good way to start the weekend with a win. I always enjoy coming to shows here with the fantastic facilities, so i'm looking forward to the rest of the weekend!”

The second-fastest time was set by Julio Arias Cueva aboard Filou du Manoir (Salto de l'Isle), stopping the clock at 65.86 seconds. The bronze went to Niels Kersten riding Rose of Ballmore (Chacoon Blue), who crossed the finish line in 66.04 seconds.

Rodrigo Pessoa just missed the podium, finishing fourth aboard Dhalida (Diamant de Semilly). With Hotspot (Hors la Loi II), Mathijs van Asten completed the top five in this qualifying class.

Meanwhile, in the other arena in Valkenswaard, the CSI2* Small Tour 1.35m class was underway. Tom Schellekens took the win aboard Optima van den Bisschop (Denzel van ’t Meulenhof). Vereecke claimed second place with Riverflow van ’t Ruytershof (Tornado). Enrique Gonzalez finished third riding HFG Quaman (Diamant de Semilly).

Christoph Könemann secured fourth place with Dreamliner (I’m Special de Muze). The top five was completed by Christopher Megahey aboard Casian S (Casallco).
