As ambassadors of the Stuttgart horse show, they have accomplished so much for the event for many years now, and have now been duly honoured with fireworks as a part of the official opening ceremony at the 38th STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS – Isabell Werth and Michael Jung.
They represent top equestrianism, fairness when handling their equine partners and the world’s biggest indoor horse show. Today in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle, Andreas Kroll, CEO of the in.Stuttgart Veranstaltungsgesellschaft, presented them with a special golden award for all their efforts.
“It’s a fantastic recognition of the position as ambassador,” said the delighted Isabell Werth, Germany’s most successful Olympic athlete. “It really was a wonderful surprise. I certainly wasn’t expecting it.”
The four-time eventing Olympic champion, Michael Jung, who is based just down the road in Horb-Altheim, is deeply moved by the special honour of having been able to represent such a renowned horse show for so many years now. “The GERMAN MASTERS is right here in our home region, and it means lots of friends come to visit. The crowd is magnificent and the horses feel at ease in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle and in the extremely good conditions that prevail here,” said a happy “Michi” Jung when talking about the spontaneous award.
