Johnny Pals has announced the transfer of Stal Hagenhorsts' promising stallion, Never Lose v/d Wolfsakker (Lector vd Bisschop x Tolano van ’t Riethof), to our editorial team. The son of Lector vd Bisschop will move to the stables of American rider Lillie Keenan.
With this collaboration between Keenan and Hagenhorst Horses, the goal is to further develop the stallion at the highest level.
The seven-year-old stallion was bred by B.J.L. van der Kloet and purchased as a foal by Herman Verhagen. It was Marco Sas who started the stallion under saddle. Last year, Charlotte Verhagen took over the reins and introduced him to the international stage.
“Because of his exceptional quality and pedigree, the decision was made to preserve the combination of sport and breeding,” said Pals. Never Lose is a son of Watch Me v/d Wolfsakker, a mare whose granddam is the 1.50m jumper Barones (Nimmerdor). “The Barones damline guarantees showjumping talent. The mare herself is also the dam of Gancia de Muze, who collected more than €1.8 million in prize money,” he added.
