After an impressive season filled with international appearances and a European team silver medal with the young riders, Irish showjumper Tom Wachmann welcomes an exciting new addition to his stable. The seven-year-old stallion Earl of Alice (Eldorado van de Zeshoek x Askari) will now continue his career under Wachmann’s saddle.
The talented Earl of Alice has made the move to Ireland, where he will be produced by the promising young rider Tom Wachmann. The stallion, bred by Ralf Mewes, is no stranger to success. Last year, he captured the bronze medal at the FEI World Breeding Championship for Young Horses in Lanaken under German rider Katrin Eckermann.
Earl of Alice comes from an exceptional bloodline. His dam is a half-sister to DSP Alice (by Askari), the famous mare with whom Simone Blum became World Champion. The stallion was approved in Hannover and demonstrated his exceptional quality early in his career. Since his international debut in October 2023, he has completed nearly forty starts, finishing with a clear round in all but four of them, an impressive record for a young horse.
His last appearance with Eckermann came in August at Opglabbeek, where he once again showed his talent with a second and third place finish. With his transfer to Wachmann, the promising stallion begins a new chapter in his career, this time flying the Irish flag.
