German rider Teike Friedrichsen has said goodbye to her Grand Prix horse, Greece 5 (Mylord Carthago). Together with the grey mare, the German rider won the CSI4* Grand Prix of Hohen Wieschendorf and reached the final of Germany’s U25 Springpokal of the Stiftung Deutscher Pferdesport during the CHIO Aachen in 2023.
The new rider of the Holsteiner mare is Max Kühner, as Friedrichsen confirmed to our colleagues at Spring-reiter. Currently ranked 23rd on the FEI World Ranking, Kühner will debut the mare this week at the German Masters in Stuttgart!
“The mare remains owned by Stephan Johannsen, only the rider and the stable will change,” explained Friedrichsen to Spring-reiter.
The 51-year-old Kühner has already competed with the mare a few times, including in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain, at 3* level. Out of six starts, the pair placed four times.
