Three years ago, the Belgian auction house, Equbreeding.auction set a new world record by selling Das Machine EQ Z, the full brother of Emerald, for 360,000 euros. At Sentower Park, another Belgian auction house broke this record on Saturday by selling C-Bra van het Bokt to the Middle East for 402,000 euros.
While the team at Equbreeding.auction prepares for its Live & Online auction on September 23, pressure is mounting with a new record for the most expensive foal ever sold. After what seemed like a bidding duel between an online bidder from the United Arab Emirates and a bidder on the phone, the specially-eyed foal was sold for 402,000 euros.
C-Bra Van het Bokt is a son of J-Nius V.V. Z out of Come And Get Me VK (Conthargos). This mother is a sister of Niels Bruynseels' 1.60m jumping Origi vd Vosberg.
