“I actually only do this with my father. It’s not such a big team, but I’m very happy,” smiled Max van de Poll after his surprise world title with Ortane. In Lanaken, the Dutch rider claimed the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for 6-Year-Old Horses. Joining him on the podium were Ireland’s Niamh McEvoy with BP Othello and Belgian crowd favorite Thibeau Spits with Touch of Joy Dwerse Hagen.
