Under the floodlights in Gothenburg, the CSI5*-W Gothenburg Trophy delivered a thrilling 1.55m class with jump-off, where precision and speed ultimately shaped the final standings.
The win went to Patrick Stühlmeyer, who, in the saddle of Conterno-Blue PS (Veyron), produced a flawless performance. After a clear round in 69.75 seconds in the first phase, he returned for the jump-off and stopped the clock at 36.54 seconds to secure victory.
Sweden’s Linda Heed followed closely behind. On the back of Crack Blue (Conthargos), she also remained faultless throughout and crossed the finish line in 38.18 seconds in the jump-off to take second place.
Third place went to Denmark’s Lars Bak Andersen with Leviathan HS (Livello). Riding confidently through both rounds, he delivered a double clear performance in 71.66 seconds and 43.60 seconds respectively.
Julien Anquetin finished fourth aboard Blood Diamond du Pont. The French rider guided his mount through a faultless first round in 67.67 seconds before collecting four penalties in the jump-off in 32.18 seconds.
Rounding out the top five was Eiken Sato, who partnered Campai 3 to a clear opening round and a jump-off with four faults in 34.58 seconds.
