“Catch Me Not S – or Charlie, as we call him – is retiring at 19,” Fredricson shared via social media. “He’s been an exceptional horse in every way. I had the honour of riding him at some of the world’s biggest venues. He had a fantastic attitude and the kind of scope that made even the toughest courses feel easy.”

Fredricson extended his gratitude to several key individuals who played a role in the gelding’s storied career, including his former rider Ebba Berglöf, breeder Krister Svedberg, and the team at Grevlunda Showjumping. “It’s been a privilege to share this journey – a true partnership from start to finish,” Fredricson wrote. “Time to trade in big tracks for green fields and easy days – enjoy it, Charlie.”

Fredricson and Catch Me Not S began their partnership in 2018. Together, they compiled an impressive resume of accolades. Among their many highlights were a third-place finish at the 2023 FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final in Riyadh, team representation at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, and individual bronze at the 2021 FEI European Championships in Riesenbeck. They also achieved podium finishes at several major Grand Prix events, including victories at the CSI5* 1.60m Rolex Grand Prix in Brussels (2022), and the Longines Global Champions Tour Grands Prix in London and St. Tropez (2021).

Their final international appearance came in March 2025, when they placed seventh in the CSI5* 1.60m Rolex Grand Prix in ’s-Hertogenbosch.

We wish Catch Me Not S a happy retirement!
