Philippe Rozier: "Our leg in St Tropez is a blessing for France, but I hate it comes with the cost of losing Sankt Gallen!"

There's disappointment but also joy due to the FEI's decision to replace the CSIO5* Sankt Gallen with St. Tropez, as part of the League of Nations. Philippe Rozier is elated and expresses his delight. 'The arrival of the League of Nations in France is a victory. Personally, I do find it a shame that this comes at the expense of the CSIO5*. That organization is magnificent, and I have many fond memories of that competition! Moreover, it's one of the oldest, established fixtures on the calendar!

'We, with the Polo club of Saint-Tropez, did not apply to host a leg of the League of Nations. The FEI team visited the competition this season. They probably saw the potential in our organization and especially the grounds!' 'The grounds are 100 hectares and completely privatized. There are two arenas and over 400 permanent stables. In short, something unique in Europe!' says the top French rider.

'To be awarded a leg of the League of Nations out of the blue is a great honor. And we will do everything to make the organization worthy. Moreover, it's fantastic for France that we have an event on the calendar of this competition series. France can thus strengthen its position on the international agenda. We are the only country with a Rolex CSIO, League of Nations, and several Global Champions Tour events!
