France's Philippe Rozier has confirmed his earlier announcement that the CSI5*-w Longines Equita Lyon will be his last CSI5* competition.
Rozier is a three-time Olympion, was bron into a family of riders. He was part of the French team that won gold at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 1994 Rozier also won team silver and placed 9th individually at the World EQuestrian Games in Den Haag, the Netherlands. In 2000, he finished 4th by team at the Olympic Games in Sydney.
Rozier is a member of the French Jumping team and champion, he won several Nation Cup compettiions and Grand-Prix in CSI and CSIW.
On his social media the 62-year-old confirmed that, after more than 40 years on the highest level, he will no longer compete at a CSI5* level. "It's a carefully decision. Equita Lyon will be my last competition. I'm happy to say my goodbye in front of the French public. Lyon is where I experienced many highlights. Thank you to all the people and horses who've always supported me! Thank you for our incredible journey!"

Aujourd’hui, j’ai envie de laisser la place aux jeunes générations, tout en continuant à monter, à transmettre et à vivre pleinement cette passion qui m’anime depuis toujours.
Je ne range donc pas la selle mais une nouvelle page s’ouvre, avec la même envie et le même amour des chevaux.
