The 1.60m Amadeus Grand Prix of Salzburg brought together a field of international top horses and riders, with only four combinations managing to advance to the jump-off. The level was high, but it was ultimately Britain’s Robert Murphy who secured the victory.
Murphy claimed the win in commanding style with Hulde G (Vigo d’Arsouilles), becoming the only rider to break the 43-second barrier in the jump-off. His clear round in 42.88 seconds put him more than three and a half seconds ahead of the competition and earned him the Grand Prix title.
Tamás Mráz followed in second place aboard Viva Cent (Vivant), finishing faultlessly in 46.48 seconds. Ronnie Healy completed the podium with a controlled, clear performance of 47.09 seconds riding Cornet’s Mandarino.
The Netherlands delivered a strong highlight through Michael Greeve, who jumped Commissar Pezi (Commissario) into fourth place. Despite four faults, his fast 44.96 seconds in the jump-off secured the best Dutch result of the class.
The podium was rounded out by Felix Koller riding Cossinelle (Cascadello). They crossed the finish line in 66.36 seconds but collected one penalty along the way.
