After an injury setback, the mare is now making her comeback in Hohen Wieschendorf. Thieme entered her in the 1.15m class. In a statement to our colleagues at spring-reiter.de, Thieme expressed his great joy at Chakaria’s return.

“It’s fantastic to be able to compete with her again. We don’t want to take any risks, so we’re starting with smaller classes,” Thieme said. “Our next competition will be at the same venue, but in the higher classes.”

The goal is to return to 5* level next year. “In February next year, I’ll be taking her back to Wellington to compete at 5* level. The goal right now is to participate in the Longines League of Nations in Ocala!”
