Just missed it—that was the result for Abdel Said (BEL). In the 1.60m CSI5* Grand Prix of Doha, Scott Brash (GBR) finished about two seconds faster than Abdel Said's time. Brash sped to victory with the 10-year-old Hello Folie (Luidam, breeder: Claire Gouin).
Eleven combinations competed in the jump-off. Scott Brash ultimately set the fastest time. The Brit pushed Belgium's Abdel Said to second place. Riding Bonne Amie (A Big Boy), the Belgian was followed by Duarte Seabra and the 12-year-old Dourados 2 (Diarado).
Just outside the top three, Edwina Tops-Alexander rode Fellow Castlefield (Je T'Aime Flamenco) to fourth place. The top five was completed by Nadja Peter Steiner and the BWP stallion No-Comment de Septon (Jenson van 't Meulenhof).
