Today the CSI5* action continued in Abu Dhabi. After David Will secured a German victory on Friday, Richard Vogel continued the German party jumping to the win in the CSI5* 1.50m main class on Saturday. Vogel lef the competition behind aboard Hans & Heide Van den Bossche's bred, Phenyo van het Keysersbos.
Six combinations managed to produce a clear round in both phases. Richard Vogel and his 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood sire, Phenyo van het Keysersbos (Corydon van T&L) jumped to the win in 24,75 seconds. After a clear finish in 26,42 seconds, Ireland's Cian O'Connor followed as runner-up. Aboard the 9-year-old SF-gelding, Gengis Kann de Londe (Kannan), O'Connor advanced on Abdelkebir Ouaddar.
The Morroccon rider completed the stage with his 14-year-old SF-gelding, Baccarat Meniljean (Diamant de Semilly).
Ali Hamad Al Kirbi followed in fourth with Jarlin de Torres (Jarnac), while Trevor Breen completed the top five aboard the 11-year-old mare, Luidam's Warrior (Luidam Elite).
Shady Grayeb wins 1.45m CSI5*
Shady Ghrayeb and the thirteen-year-old SF-gelding Cabernet de Mars (Baloubet du Rouet x Dollar Dela Pierre) jumped to victory in the CSI5* 1.45m class in Abu Dhabi! Less than a second behind, Claudia Moore claimed an impressive second place with Hardesther, a daughter of Kannan. Rounding off the podium was Nadia Abdul Aziz Taryam with the nine-year-old Gabrielle Sol'Heure (sire: Diamant de Semilly).
