An exciting sportive evening, in Ascona, concluded with a CSI4* 1.50m home win for Steve Guerdat (SUI). Guerday was only 0.01 seconds faster as world number one, Henrik von Eckermann. In front of his homecrowd, Guerdat charmed aboard his 11-year-old Lancelotta (Falkenhof's Lancer).

Guerdat and his mare by Lancer referred Henrik von Eckermann with Calizi (Cellestial) to the runner-up position. Great-Britain's, Robert Whitaker completed the stage with Vermento (Argento).

Whitaker was followed by Atnhony Bourquard and Everest d'Ellipse (Vagabond de la Pomme). Also the fifth spot coloured Swiss thanks to Sira Accola and the 14-year-old Belgian Warmblood-gelding, Koriano van Klapscheut (Lord Z).
