Thomas Leveque has claimed victory in the consolation class for six-year-old horses at Lanaken. In the saddle of Chaccolina van’t Huka Z, the French rider produced a fast and faultless round in 55.91 seconds, securing the top spot in the 1.30m class.
Leveque set the pace with Chaccolina van’t Huka Z, leaving all the poles standing and stopping the clock in 55.91 seconds. The six-year-old Zangersheide mare, a daughter of Chacco Blue, proved just fast enough to stay ahead of the field.
Sweden’s Viktor Edvinsson came closest to the winning combination. On the back of Bibi Race (Big Star), he also delivered a clear round and finished in 56.99 seconds, placing him second overall. Helle Moeller Andersen completed the podium for Denmark with Maskedals One of A Kind (Numero Uno) in 57.24 seconds.
The Netherlands also featured prominently in the top five. Zoi Snels guided P-Extra WS (Emerald) to a clear round in 57.40 seconds, good enough for fourth place. Ireland’s Taylor Peare completed the top five with BP Indiana (Mylord Carthago HN) after another faultless performance in 57.66 seconds.
