Victor Bettendorf stole the spotlight in the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Riesenbeck, producing a superb double-clear performance to secure victory in the prestigious CSI5* 1m60 feature class. The Luxembourgish rider came out on top after an exciting six-horse jump-off, edging out Daniel Deusser and Christian Kukuk in a thrilling battle for the podium.
Aboard Gibbs Un Prince (Number One d'Iso un Prince), Bettendorf kept a clean sheet in both rounds and flew across the finish line in 35.37 seconds to secure the victory. Daniel Deusser also produced two faultless rounds with Pepita van T Meulenhof BR (El Torreo de Muze), stopping the clock in 36.34 seconds for second place. Olympic champion Christian Kukuk completed the podium aboard Checker 47 (Comme Il Faut), adding another double-clear performance in 36.82 seconds.
The battle for the remaining top-five placings was equally competitive. Denis Lynch steered Cordial (Casall) to fourth place with another faultless jump-off in 38.79 seconds, while Henrik von Eckermann rounded out the top five aboard Minute Man (Vigo d'Arsouilles), crossing the finish line clear in 41.83 seconds.
