In the CSI 4*, late in the afternoon, French rider Roger-Yves Bost claimed a stylish win in the 1.50m Prix Mon Carton de Vin. Making his debut appearance in Mâcon, the multi-medalist from Barbizon thrilled the crowd with a blazing jump-off round in 40.21 seconds aboard Ballerine du Vilpion (Baloubet du Rouet x Quidam De Revel). Out of forty-five pairs who started, twelve qualified for the timed final.
Fanny Guerdat-Skalli secured a strong second place with Katja Loma W, delivering a flawless jump-off in 41.56 seconds. After an intense finale, Belgian rider Wilm Vermeir took third place with Jonkheer van’t Veldhoven in a time of 42.30 seconds.
"It’s always a great feeling to win a CSI 4* class! The ground here is excellent, Ballerine felt amazing, and of course, I’m happy to win here in Mâcon for the first time! In the jump-off, I started off steady, but Ballerine is naturally quite fast. I think I gained some time heading to the last and second-to-last fences! We already won a class last week in Italy, and now she’s won another one this week — we can definitely say Ballerine is in great form! The initial course was quite technical, a solid 1.50m. It was a good course — the course designer, Cédric Longis, did a fantastic job!"
