Last week, Yuri Mansur rode Vitiki to victory in the Championat of Basel, and today the pair repeated their success during the Championat of Basel! "In the stable, we call Vitiki 'Wolverine' because he keeps proving himself at the highest level," Mansur laughed afterward.

"One month ago, we had a serious accident with the truck. Just one month after the accident, Vitiki not only wins the Championat of Basel but now also Leipzig! That shows his fantastic mindset!"

Eleven combinations competed in the jump-off of this 1.55m course. Together with Vitiki(breeders: Stapel & Wahlers), Yuri Mansur beat Willem Greve’s time by over a second. Greve rode the 14-year-old KWPN stallion Grandorado TN N.O.P. (breeders: Mts Rietberg, D.J. Verhoeven). It was a jump-off where one fast time after another was broken.

Over four seconds behind followed Giacomo Casadei with the 13-year-old BWP mare Marbella du Chabli (Elvis ter Putte, breeder: Johnny Vervliet). This pair edged out Marie Ligges with Ballerina NRW (Balous Diamond). Only the top four managed to complete a double-clear round. With one jumping fault, Josch Löhden followed in the saddle of Eic Schabernack (Cornet Obolensky).

Just managing to place, Annelies Vorsselmans also made it into the prizes. The Belgian rider, together with C. Kulottie W Z (Comme Il Faut), jumped to a final 12th place.
