Yuri Mansur scored on French soil and took home the win in the CSI5* 1.60m Grand Prix! "I knew from the first time I rode this mare that she had extraordinary talent..."
The victory went to Yuri Mansur and Miss Blue-Saint Blue Farm (by Chacco-Blue). "I knew from the first time I rode this mare that she had extraordinary talent. I believe this is the sixth 5 Grand Prix she’s won. I gave it my all and the mare delivered, but given the level of riders I was up against, I had to take every risk. There was such an incredible field, with such amazing riders and horses!"* Mansur said after his win.
Gregory Wathelet and the SF stallion Bond Jamesbond De Hay (Diamant de Semilly x Noya d'Orcival) jumped to a brilliant second place in the CSI5* 1.60m class on French soil! "There’s not much I would change if I had to redo the jump-off now. I tried, I gave everything I could. Bond Jamesbond was incredible once again. It was another extremely tight jump-off, like the one we experienced a few months ago at the Longines Equita Lyon. Back then, I was on the right side of the second; this time, I’m on the wrong side. But I’m very happy for Yuri. He deserves it. We all fought hard. I can only be proud of my horse today.
Finally, and I believe I can speak here on behalf of all the riders, a big thank you to Sylvie Robert for organizing such events. It’s a real pleasure for all of us!"
Compatriot and reignig Belgian champion, Gilles Thomas secured third place with his trusted Ermitage Kalone (Diablo Blanco x Gambella). "I watched Henrik von Eckerman’s round, as his horse has a similar stride to mine. Maybe I could have done one less stride approaching the double. But I’m already very happy to be here, finishing in third place."
Emanuele Gaudiano finished in fourth place with the Diablo Blanco son, Chalou's Love PS, and Bertram Allen completed the top five aboard Qonquest de Rigo (by Fantomas de Muze).
