Victory went to Humaid Abdulla Khalifa Al Muhairi with the stallion Argentina de Kreisker Z (Aganix du Seigneur). The pair from the United Arab Emirates finished in an impressive 64.64 seconds, well within the allowed time and faultless over the 1.40m fences, leaving the competition behind.

Second place was claimed by France’s Eddy Seguin Maure, who rode a smooth clear round with Iniesta du Gery (Topinambour) in 65.53 seconds. Close behind was his compatriot Thibault Thevenon with ICI et la Courcelle (Cocktail de Talma), who secured third place in 65.96 seconds.

Belgium’s Niels Van Rossem carried the national flag high with Speedy van Klapscheut (Chaiton F Z). Their faultless ride in 66.11 seconds earned them fourth place and loud applause from the stands.

The top five was completed by Ireland’s Eoin Brennan with the Zangersheide-bred Augustus Z (Aganix du Seigneur), who stopped the clock at 67.28 seconds.
